Steve Pope Barbel Fishing

 

I’ve enjoyed some fabulous days on the wonderful River Wye since the season began, at times it’s been a bite a cast with multiple catches of chub and barbel commonplace.

The barbel are not huge but in the main they have all been seven pound plus with the biggest touching nine pounds, the chub are often four plus and so far the largest weighed in at five and a half pounds.

If you are thinking about a visit to this river before the cold weather sets in then why not join me on the two day fishing holidays I have planned in September and October.

There are a few places available on each one and for just under £300 you will enjoy two nights at the fabulous Caer Beris hotel, breakfast, a packed lunch and a superb dinner on our return. The food is of the highest quality.
