GUIDING 2017
GUIDING 2017
My guiding days for this season will soon be drawing to a close.
As always I have enjoyed the company of many friends – old and new.
The fishing has produced some memorable moments but we have also shared days when the barbel have just refused to play ball but as the saying goes -that’s fishing, but it hurts and I know it can be a huge disappointment to my guests who would have had great expectations.
There is always another day and I always do my best to ensure that if the fishing really is tough then we‘ll have another go at a later date.
But on to next year as I’m beginning to get bookings already and I’ve just bought myself a new diary!
I have access to a number of superb Wye venues and on some I can accommodate up to four anglers and the rates are extremely competitive.
Some of these venues are not easily accessed and they are very special.
I can also arrange trips on the Severn, to both middle and lower. If you fancy the lower I can organise a trip in pursuit of double figure barbel.
The Kennet is more difficult than it once was but the big barbel are still there and I have a wonderful syndicate stretch where I fish. This venue is for one angler at a time and many have caught their biggest barbel when they have visited the stretch with me.
I’ll be able to confirm dates for Caer Beris Holiday Breaks once I know what is happening, that should be around Christmas time.
I will also be planning two or three trips to the Trent. The fishing there is just too good to ignore and my plan is to organise 48 hour sessions with the emphasis of fishing at night. These trips will suit a pair of anglers.
That’s probably it but I’m open to visit other rivers as well!
So if you want to plan a fishing holiday, would like a one to one guided day, want to have a day or two with me along with a few mates, are looking for that Christmas or birthday present, then get in touch.
I’m not getting any younger but when I’m down on the river I am possessed by the same ‘demons’ that allow my hero The Boss to play on stage for four hours at 67 years of age and keep Keef upright long enough to bang out those riffs for Jagger (73) to prance around to!!
Look forward to hearing from you.
All the best,
STEVE
Hi Steve,
Looking forward to seeing you in 2017, in particular at Caer Beris.
Like you I will be spending time away in warmer parts of the world at various times through the winter months, but will continue through the wonders technology to monitor what is happening and get my booking in early.
Enjoy your family time on the other side of the globe you’ve earned the break after looking after all those who have been fortunate to share your company in 2016
Yours
Peter
