My Best Fishing Pal Died Today
I’m struggling to write this but I knew the day would come at some point.
My great friend Fred Crouch passed away this morning.
Over the coming days I will find the words to express the deep affection I felt for Fred, our friendship was strong.
At this moment I’m as sad as its possible to be.
My thoughts are with Pat, Fred’s wife, Debbie and Ann and all his family.
RIP Fred, the best mate a bloke could have.
It was an absolute honour to write the Foreward for Fred’s autobiography, Skies of Fire – Rivers of Gold, I have scanned the words for those who may not have known Fred personally, over the coming weeks and months there will be many more stories because Fred’s name will live on in the barbel fishing world, he was a true legend and we won’t see his like again.
